Artwork Requirements
Upload the highest-quality version of your artwork available. Whenever possible, send the file exported directly from the program it was created in rather than a screenshot, mockup, or downloaded preview.
Preferred file types: AI, EPS, SVG, print-ready PDF, PSD, or high-resolution PNG/JPG.
For best results:
- Upload artwork at the intended print size or larger.
- Use at least 300 DPI when possible.
- Convert fonts to outlines or include the required font files.
- Make sure important text and details are large enough to print clearly.
- Transparent backgrounds are recommended for custom-shaped designs.
Generative AI Artwork
We strongly recommend original artwork over AI-generated artwork whenever possible. Generative AI images frequently contain distorted details, irregular edges, strange text, hidden artifacts, and other issues that may not be obvious on screen but can become much more noticeable when printed or contour cut.
We can still print AI-generated artwork, but additional cleanup may be required.
Don’t have artwork yet? You don’t need to use AI. Select Create My Artwork in the customizer and we can create a simple, print-ready design for $35.
Our $35 artwork service is intended for straightforward designs using typography, simple vector artwork, supplied references, and commercially licensed or free-use design elements. Highly detailed illustration, complex recreations, or large-scale design projects may require a separate quote or may fall outside the scope of this service.
Background Removal & File Cleanup
Standard background-removal tools in programs like Canva or Photoshop are generally fine. We recommend avoiding generative AI tools that recreate, extend, or alter parts of your artwork during background removal.
When in doubt, send us the original file with the background intact. Basic background removal and standard print setup are included.
Files requiring significant manual cleanup, tracing, reconstruction, or repair may require a $15 artwork preparation fee. We’ll always contact you for approval before adding the fee.
Before We Print
We review every artwork file before production. If we notice a quality issue or anything else that could affect the finished product, we’ll contact you before printing.
By submitting copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise protected artwork, you confirm that you have permission to reproduce it. We cannot create unauthorized reproductions or recreations of third-party copyrighted or trademarked artwork.
Proofing
We personally review every submitted design before production and get it print-ready for our equipment.
When a proof is requested or required, we’ll email a digital proof showing the proposed size, shape, cut, and general layout. Please review it carefully for:
- Spelling and punctuation
- Size and orientation
- Artwork placement
- Cut position
- Colors and design details
Proofs are typically emailed within 24–48 hours. Please respond within 48 hours to avoid delays.
If we don’t hear back within 48 hours, we may proceed with printing when the artwork is clear and production-ready. If we need your approval or clarification before we can print, your order will remain on hold until we hear from you. This may delay your order.
Once a proof is approved—or production has begun—changes may require a reprint fee.
Digital screens display colors differently, so printed colors may vary slightly from what you see on your phone or monitor.

If you select No Proof, your order may move directly into production after artwork review. However, we may still contact you if something about your artwork is unclear or requires approval before printing.
Production & Shipping
Most orders are produced within 1–3 business days after we receive usable artwork and any required proof approval.
All eligible U.S. orders include free shipping. Tracking will be sent by email and should update normally through USPS.com and the Shop app.
Shipping time is separate from production time. Most orders arrive within 2–5 business days after shipment, though carrier delays may occur.

Reprint Policy
We stand behind the quality of our work.
If your order arrives with a verified printing, cutting, material, or production error caused by us, contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@southsoundstickerco.com.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos showing the affected items
- A photo showing the full quantity received, when applicable
If we confirm a production error, we may replace the affected items or offer another appropriate resolution.
Reprints are generally not available for:
- Customer-approved spelling or design errors
- Low-resolution or poor-quality submitted artwork
- Incorrect sizes or quantities selected at checkout
- Slight color differences between screens and printed materials
- Damage caused by improper installation, storage, or use
- Normal wear and tear
- Orders produced from artwork approved by the customer
Please contact us before returning or discarding any items. We may need photos or additional information to review the issue.
